Neon Signs are electric signs that are lighted by long-luminous gas discharge tubes that contain gas that helps the sign glow when being plugged into an electric outlet. They are commonly used during nighttime by certain establishments and even decorative pieces in homes and gardens to attract the eyes of people and add beauty to the scenery. Most of the neon signs were popularized in the United States during new years eve in times square and even used in red-light districts in Asian countries to attract prospective customers. But with the advancement of technology neon signs have started to decline and become antiques of the past since there are no longer signage shops that made neon signs due to their complexity and the gas inside the tubes can be flammable.
Making neon signs can be tricky since the maker need to know how to bend the tube properly without damaging it, the process of bending the tube is pretty straight forward the tube is heated then it is quickly bent for the desired shape and design which is why neon signs are considered to be works of art because of the longevity of the gas inside the tubes making them irreplaceable for years to come but the problem with these signs is when they start to leak or the tubes have been broken the gas inside will start to hazardous to those who will smell it making it very dangerous which is why the tubes must be thicker as much as possible to prevent any leaks and other safety concerns. But as a decorative piece and design in our homes, especially in our gardens, it can be very beautiful and eye-catching for bystanders because of the light that it emits that can really attract the attention of those who will see it.
