Candles are used for many different things, but they’re most commonly seen in autumn-themed decor. This is because they work well with the season’s warm colors and create a cozy atmosphere.
Here are ideas for the fall candle.
1. Balsam and Cinnamon
Place an orange peel in a jar and drop it in two cinnamon sticks. Top with half a cup of balsamic vinegar, then fill the jar with warm water. Light it once or twice a day for several days until you get that deep, fragrant autumn smell.
2. Pumpkin Pie
Crumble up a gingerbread man cookie to add a little crunch, adding more cookies if you prefer intense gingery-ness. To make it extra fragrant, add four drops of fragrant oil -like vanilla extract-, one spoonful of ground ginger, five cloves, and three tablespoons of brown sugar into the mix before sprinkling over the top of your candle. Then bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes, let it cool, and light your candle.
3. Apple Cinnamon
Place two to three cinnamon sticks in a cup of apple cider (or any other type of juice) for 48 hours, stirring occasionally. Once you’ve got that spicy cider smell, pour the mixture into jars until each jar is about halfway full. Add five cloves and one tablespoon of brown sugar per jar before topping with a lit tea light.
4. Vanilla Pumpkin Pie
Mix unscented cream cheese and vanilla extract with a fork until smooth. Then add some ground ginger, cinnamon, or pumpkin pie spice if desired, continuing to stir the mixture until everything is combined. Top a jar with a lit tea light, drizzle a little on the candle and then light.
5. Candy Corn Jar Candle
This is a little time-consuming but worth it for the cute factor! Stick about 20 pieces of candy corn into a jar before pouring soy wax (or any other type of candle wax) over the top and melting it with a tea light. The flame should melt enough candle wax to cover all those candy corns, creating an adorable fall scent as your candle burns down.
If you don’t want to use real candy corn, flameless versions are available online or at party supply stores!
6. Cinnamon Apple Cider Mix four cups of apple juice, three cinnamon sticks, and eight cloves before simmering on low heat for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit overnight. Then follow steps three and four from the Pumpkin Pie candle to make a jar candle with this apple cider mix.
7. Cinnamon Citrus Add five drops of lemon oil and ten drops of orange for an exciting citrus sensation! If you’re feeling adventurous, add two cinnamon sticks and one teaspoon each of nutmeg and ground cloves.
8. Chamomile Vanilla This is perfect if you love sweet scents! Mix one tablespoon of dried chamomile flowers before pouring pure vanilla extract on top. Let it sit overnight, then light your candle when read.
In conclusion, it’s fall and time to get candles. I love candles. they’re one of my favorite home decor items, especially when they smell nice
